So far in 2024, we have seen quite a few car launches, both complete new models and facelifts, but the good thing is that loads of action still need to be witnessed in the rest of the months. Many more cars from brands such as Tata, Mahindra, Kia, and even Honda and Citroen are going to be launched. Of course, the list of such incoming cars can go on and on, but these are the most eagerly awaited among them.
Tata Altroz Racer
Launch Expectation: June 2024
Estimated Price: Rs 10 lakh onwards
With the Punch EV making its debut in the first half of the year, Tata is making way for several other launches, and one among them is the Tata Altroz Racer. This was first teased at Auto Expo 2023; now it has been confirmed to be launched. The sporty variant of the Altroz hatchback, with which will come design changes, added features, and most importantly, a powerful 120 PS turbo-petrol engine borrowed from the Nexon – has already been spied a couple of times sans disguise and bookings are already open.
New-gen Maruti Dzire
Expected Launch: June 2024
Expected Price: Rs 7 lakh onwards
Maruti launched the new-gen Swift in India back in May 2024, and the new-gen Maruti Dzire can’t be too far behind. The updated sedan is coming soon and will borrow some elements from the hatchback, including the new 1.2-litre petrol engine, the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six airbags, and updated climate controls. It is likely to get an upgraded design as well and even may offer a sunroof to the sub-4m sedan segment.
Kia EV9
Expected Launch: June 2024
Expected Price: Rs 80 lakh onwards
Kia will be bringing its flagship electric SUV to India this year – Kia EV9 – which will be the second electric offering from the brand in India after the EV6. International models of this SUV have a 99.8 kWh battery pack and come in both rear-wheel-drive as well as the all-wheel-drive setup. The Kia EV9 boasts a claimed WLTP of up to 680 km and dual 12.3-inch screens, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, heated and ventilated front seats, nine airbags, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS.
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift
Expected To Launch: June 2024
Expected Price: Rs 17 lakh onwards.
In line with the launch of the facelifted Hyundai Creta in January 2024, we expect Hyundai to upgrade its three-row variant also. Compared with the predecessor, the facelifted Hyundai Alcazar would likely carry forward both its petrol and diesel engines but would get a new cabin with dual 10.25-inch screens, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, multiple airbags, 360-degree camera, and ADAS.
