The upcoming fourth-gen Kia Carnival, which is set to be introduced in India via the CBU route, offers a fresh new design compared to the previous model previously sold here. The new Carnival features a bold and modern look, starting with L-shaped LED daytime running lights and vertically stacked headlights at the front.
The grille of this upcoming fourth-gen Kia Carnival is striking and has wide air vents below it, accentuating the boxy, confident look of the front end. On the sides of the vehicle, wide windows and roof rails accentuate the sleek look. At the rear, connected C-shaped taillights and sharp roof fins give it a sporty look, complemented by a roof spoiler and sporty rear spoiler.
This model is available in two colour options – Fusion Black and Glacier White Pearl – and can seat up to seven passengers. What comfort, convenience and safety features are included? In terms of features, the car comes with a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen navigation system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 13.3-inch HD instrument cluster display, and an 11-inch head-up display.
The second row offers ventilation, heating, and leg support for added comfort. It also comes with features like 12 Bose speakers, wireless smartphone connectivity, a smart power tailgate, a smart key with push-button start, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. In terms of safety, the upcoming 2024 Kia Carnival is equipped with comprehensive features.
These include eight airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, disc brakes on all wheels, and ISO-FIX child seat anchors. Upcoming 2024 Kia Carnival: Engine, Price, Variants, Competitors
Under the bonnet, the upcoming fourth-gen Kia Carnival will have a 2-litre diesel engine that delivers 190 horsepower and 441 Nm of peak torque. It will have an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power exclusively to the front wheels. The previous-gen Kia Carnival, launched in 2020, was priced between Rs 24.95 lakh and Rs 33.95 lakh and was available in three variants – Premium, Prestige and Sedan.
Prices for the new fourth-gen model will start at around Rs 39 lakh and will be available in two trim levels – Sedan and Sedan Plus. Though it competes with several MPVs such as the Toyota Innova Crysta, Toyota Innova Hicross and Maruti Invicto, the Carnival is not positioned as a premium option and offers a more affordable choice in its segment.
Upcoming 2024 Kia Carnival: Powertrain options
Kia will offer the Indian model with a single 2-litre diesel engine produces 193 PS and 441 Nm. It will be available only with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

- The 2024 Kia Carnival will come to India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) import, so it is expected to be priced at around INR 5 lakh (ex-showroom).
