- Today’s article will compare Tata Punch vs. Hyundai Exter. Today, Hyundai unveiled the Exter with two CNG cylinders for the Indian market, priced from Rs 850,000 (ex-showroom).
- Called Hy-CNG Duo, the new technology will be sold alongside a CNG cylinder-equipped variant and will be used in the company’s other CNG vehicles such as the Grand i10 Nios and Aura.

Tata Punch vs. Hyundai Exter: Features
- Hyundai is not the first to offer this technology; Tata has included it in its lineup including the Tiago, Tigor and the Exter’s rival, the Punch.
- Now let’s take a look at the specs of the two cars competing for the title in the B-SUV segment. Starting with the Exter, the model is powered by a 1.2-litre dual-fuel engine (petrol and CNG) that produces 68 horsepower and 95 Nm of torque, while the CNG version of the Punch produces 72 horsepower and 95 Nm of torque.
- Both the cars are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission only.
- In terms of fuel consumption, the Tata Punch is claimed to consume 26.99 km/kg while the Hyundai Exter Hy-CNG Duo consumes 27.1 km/kg.
- There is a slight difference in the consumption of both cars but we plan to test the actual consumption of these cars in the coming months for a better comparison.
