The Tata Nexon CNG has been rolled out with prices beginning from Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India), and the carmaker is offering it in four broad variants: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless Plus. While other trims of Nexon CNG have sub-variants barring the top-spec variant; if you were waiting to buy the Nexon CNG, check out which one will suit you the best.
Before we progress to the variant-wise features of the Tata Nexon CNG SUV, let’s check out the powertrain details:
The Nexon CNG variants get the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that puts out 100 PS in the CNG mode, a 20 PS loss relative to the regular variants. With the power down, there is no loss in torque and it is the same whether in petrol or CNG mode. Let’s get variant-wise now.
Smart

This base-spec Smart variant comes with most of the basic features you would need. The infotainment package is not available here, but the base-spec variant does come equipped with a good lighting setup and has a decent safety kit.
Tata Nexon CNG: Smart+
This variant comes with an additional infotainment system that is mated with wired connectivity to handsets and also some additional conveniences. Nevertheless, the cabin and the safety kit do not get changed.
Smart+ S
As an added feature, this variant gives you a one-piece sunroof while affecting the pocket by Rs 30,000 more. Besides that, you also receive auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers as only 2 of the minor but quite useful additions.

Pure
A pure variant of Nexon CNG gets exterior, infotainment and convenience feature additions. The cabin and the safety kit remain unchanged. Note that the sunroof isn’t available on this particular variant since it’s reserved for “S” variants in the subcompact SUVs.
Pure S
Price: Rs 10.99 lakh
The “S” sub variant of the pure trim of the Nexon CNG adds this feature.
The Pure S feature additions over Pure are similar three features which we saw in the Smart+ S over the Smart variant.
Creative
For an extra Rs 70,000, the Creative variant gets a better body design, an improved infotainment package, more comfort and convenience features, and important additions to the safety kit.
Creative+
Over the Creative variant, this is what you get in the Creative+ variant of the Nexon CNG.
But the Nexon CNG gets only the base variant, the Creative +, with added wireless smartphone connectivity and it’s the major updates that have come to the safety kit.
Fearless+ PS
And the top-spec Nexon CNG will get all those premium features in the standard Nexon, starting with bigger screens, more comfort and convenience features, and an even panoramic sunroof, which is new to the subcompact SUV. Well done, Hexa.
