2024 Nissan X-Trail Interior Teaser

Nissan is bringing back the Nissan X-Trail name to India after a decade. The SUV is expected to come with a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof and a wireless phone charger. It is expected to come with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with an eight-speed CVT automatic and 12V mild-hybrid technology.

It will be available in both two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) globally. The 2024 X-Trail SUV is expected to be priced around INR 4 lakh (ex-showroom) and is scheduled for launch in July 2024. The fourth-generation Nissan X-Trail is set to be launched in India soon and the Japanese brand has already started unveiling its flagship SUV.

In the latest teaser, the carmaker has showcased the interiors of the SUV while also revealing some of the premium features that will be available on the new X-Trail. Interestingly, the name “X-Trail” is making a comeback in India after a decade. Here are some more details we have from the teaser of this upcoming full-size SUV:

The teaser also revealed that Nissan’s next flagship SUV will be equipped with a panoramic sunroof. We could see a split armrest with opening and storage space, drive mode buttons, electric parking brake with auto-hold, cup holders, wireless phone charger and a centre console with a shifter (probably, the transmission will be an 8-speed CVT).

The new Nissan X-Trail will be offered in India with a three-row seating arrangement, as shown in the teaser.

Expected Features and Safety

It is also expected to come with a 10-speaker Bose premium music system, three-zone automatic climate control, heated and power-adjustable front seats with memory, in addition to dual digital displays and a panoramic sunroof function.

Its safety net will include multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, and some Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot detection, and forward collision warning.

Powertrain

The Nissan SUV will be available in both two-wheel drive (2WD) and four-wheel drive (4WD) versions in the international market.

Price and Competitors

Nissan is planning to launch the three-row SUV X-Trail in July 2024. Its expected price is Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom), which will put it in competition with the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian.
