Recently, the Tata Nexon CNG became available for sale at an ex-showroom, pan-India price of Rs 8.99 lakh. This new Tata CNG offering directly squares up against the well-established Maruti Brezza CNG. So, let us see how the new Tata Nexon CNG matches the established Brezza CNG:
Prices
More than that, the entry-level variant of the Tata Nexon CNG is Rs 30,000 cheaper than the same variant of the Maruti Brezza CNG. But the top variant CNG of the Brezza model named Zxi is 2.3 lakh rupees cheaper than the CNG variant of the Nexon.

Dimension
The Nexon CNG and the Brezza CNG, in similar dimensions share length albeit with a marginal difference as far as their wheelbase goes. Nevertheless, the Nexon CNG is 14mm wider and 65mm shorter than the Brezza.
This is where one needs to note that Nexon CNG will support a dual-CNG cylinder setup which means the car will get a booty space of 321 litres. In contrast, the Brezza will get a single CNG cylinder in its boot, which pretty much translates to a small booty.
Powertrain
The Tata Nexon CNG is the first-ever turbocharged engine available for CNG in India, and the Brezza comes with a naturally aspirated engine.
So, we feel the Tata Nexon CNG is the better one here-it gets a more powerful engine, returns a similar fuel efficiency as the Brezza CNG, and is feature-loaded to its brim. It also gets a bigger boot space and a more futuristic design language. The safety net of the Nexon too is better in every aspect than that of the Brezza CNG.
However, we would suggest you test drive both these CNG offerings and come to a final purchasing decision.
But which of these two CNG offerings do you feel is better on paper? Do let us know in the comments below.
