In the festive season, September witnessed a huge demand for cars, but among those cars, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Swift, and Kia Sonet were only a few popular choices in the buyer’s list. Interestingly though, in September, the top stop was taken over by an MPV instead of an SUV or a hatchback. Here are the top 15 automobiles that booked the maximum sales during September.

Of the 15 best-selling cars, nine were from Maruti Suzuki.
Maruti Ertiga dethroned the Brezza to emerge as the highest-selling car in September 2024, followed by Swift in the second position.
Hyundai Creta remained at the third position; however, the car manufacturer sold 850-odd units less than in August 2024.
Maruti Brezza slumped to fourth as the monthly sales declined by nearly 4,000 units.
Mahindra Scorpio saw growth not just in the monthly sales but also in the yearly sales figures, though one must note that that does include both Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic.
Sales numbers of both Maruti Fronx as well as Maruti Baleno stood at approximately 14,000 units. MoM growth for Baleno was around 1,800 units while that of Fronx was around 1,500 units.
Sales numbers of Tata Punch was up 5 percent year on year but month on month, its sales were almost down by 2,000 units.
Maruti Wagon R has faced losses in terms of both MoM and YoY sales figures but has still been able to sell over 13,000 units in September 2024.
The yearly sales of Maruti Eeco have surged by 7 percent and the company has also sold nearly a thousand more units compared to August 2024.
Tata Nexon witnessed losses both in the monthly as well as in the yearly sales figures, because of which it could not make a place in the top-10 list.
More than 200 units sold of the Maruti Dzire in September from the previous month, but year-on-year sales have dipped over 3,000 units.
Kia Sonet is also going swell in terms of numbers; nearly 260 units more were sold in September than in August, but the higher growth was in terms of yearly sales, which recorded a jump of 107 percent YoY.
The Grand Vitara continued to stay at 15th position in the list of top 15 highest-selling cars in September since it managed to sell more than 2,000 units compared to what it sold in August. However, its YoY sales declined by 13 percent.
Lastly, Hyundai Venue continues to be in the 15th position in September sales. Although MoM sales grew over 1,000 units, its YoY sales dipped by 16 percent.
